About Netpostcode 

  In the beginning Netpostcode was set up by disgruntled business owners who were spending thousands of dollars advertising on costly in effective business directory websites. These websites are typically data base driven websites and are owned and operated by large telephone corporations. These business owners did not want to construct websites of their own as they were small trades people like plumbers, motor mechanic's, electrician's, and fast food out lets. Over the years they had build up their own established clients.

As individuals they did not have enough content to build multiple page websites, they just wanted their business names, contact details, and brief outline of services or products that they provided in there neighbourhood available on the internet. They did not want to be advertised in another country or location, they just wanted established clients and new clients who were looking for them in their neighbourhoods to find them.
The issue that the initial business owners had was that they were spending thousands of dollars advertising on these websites but when a customer typed in there business name into a search engine like Google, MSN, or Yahoo they were no where to be found. When they made inquires with these companies to why this is so the were told that this could be corrected be investing in search engine optimisation.

A better and more cost effective way of having the business found on the internet in their neighbourhoods needed to be found.
